There is something magical when nature and skincare collide to form a perfect combination of good for you products. From cold process soap to bath bombs and body scrubs, Bare Bark Naturals is an earth and skincare friendly company beautifully made and packaged in Sacramento, California by owner Jessica McCabe.
I've always appreciated good, quality skincare, specifically soaps and scrubs. This may be the result of having such great experiences with natural skincare in the past and my passion for sharing this type of skincare is as strong as ever. The four soaps I received from Bare Bark Naturals were Lemongrass & Basil, Seaweed, Peppermint & Tea Tree, and Activated Charcoal. I gravitate to anything involving peppermint because it wakes me up in the morning and the scent is so refreshing, so naturally I tried out the Peppermint & Tea Tree soap first. This bar is amazing at keeping your skin nourished and has a really great exfoliating affect that I didn't find as strong in the other bars. The next soap I found really helpful for my skin was the Activated Charcoal bar, so don't let the dark hue of the soap intimidate you! I found myself using this soap after a long day adventure because the charcoal draws out any dirt and impurities within the skin's pores. Hallelujah! Of all the bars, I enjoyed the Lemongrass & Basil scent the most because it awakened my senses and left me feeling so rejuvenated. The final soap I tried was the Seaweed bar, which I was definitely curious about because I've never seen any soap like this one before! The seaweed stimulates the skin for a detoxifying affect, which I found very important as we switch seasons and welcome in spring. All of Bare Bark Natural's soaps (yes, there's more!) are hand cut, leaving a beautifully crooked ridge cut along the top of the bar and packaged in recycled materials.
Another item I'm finding quite unique is the Rose Clay Sugar Scrub. Not only am I loving the feminine pink hue, it is such an affordable luxury product due to it's whipped nature and foaming ability. It's definitely not your typical scrub and I find myself using it almost every day because I can't get enough! The final items that Bare Bark Naturals offers are bath bombs! How fun right? I couldn't remember the last time I used a bath bomb and I found a new admiration for them, especially the Peppermint Rose Bath Bomb with dried rose petals. Yes, you heard that correctly so don't be surprised if you feel like a queen dropping one into your next bath, and that's totally encouraged! Other types of bath bombs offered by Bare Bark Naturals include Sweet Orange & Tangerine, Oatmeal, Milk & Honey, Pink Grapefruit and more! Currently Bare Bark Naturals is only sold through Etsy, so be sure to check out her shop!
