After quite the ten day vacation to both Florida and Georgia, I am back and ready to introduce a skincare brand that got me through a trip that provided more than one type of weather and a variety of conditions. From hot air to wet, rainy moisture filled air with warm southern rainstorms, I couldn't have been any happier that I brought along my simple, yet effective products from Brooklyn based organic skincare, Skinny Skinny. Clara, the founder of the company was so generous to send me a great variety of popular items from her shop. Clara created her line to ensure the items be skinny of unnecessary filler ingredients, and from that Skinny Skinny was born!
The clover honey and citrus lip balm saved me from the brightness of the sunshine state on my vacation. I especially love how the lip balm is scented with grapefruit and orange essential oils, it lasted throughout the day and provided a refreshing scent.
As the afternoon set and the long, Florida beach days dwindled down, I was so relieved to have a truly one of a kind organic black coffee scrub handy with me. There is no need to wake up to the sound of the coffee maker when you can wake up the sweet smell of it in your shower instead! Leaving your skin nice and smooth, the scrub is made from freshly ground organic and fair trade beans that were chosen selectively for their sweet aroma. A little goes a long way, but you'll be tempted to use more and more and more!
Get ready for the day with the coffee scrub and a slow burning soy candle that is eco-friendly. The romantic scent of rose fills my room as I speak, and I could not be any more pleased with this candle's quality. I chose rose and fennel, but there are many more scents that are available online!
Now, let me dig a little deeper and let you ladies in on a little secret. The black pepper and rose dry shampoo is the absolute best version of dry shampoo I have ever used. After trying different brands of aerosol (bad, I know) dry shampoos, I was so excited to try a new approach. And it worked miracles. Not only was it great to use in the mornings when the beach was calling my name, but it lasted throughout the day and into the next morning. This product was great because it allowed me to spend less time getting ready, and more time enjoying my time with family while offering a subtle scent of rose to top it all off. Isn't it amazing that something with only eight ingredients can work immeasurably better than one with upwards of twenty? Trust me on this one, it is worth every last penny.
Overall, each item worked beyond it's expectations and I can tell you, I haven't gone a day without my lavender and clary sage body oil to keep my skin hydrated as the crisp autumn air drifts into San Francisco. If you have been dabbling in the world of organic skincare but have yet to commit fully, I highly recommend Brooklyn based Skinny Skinny.
