Within the heart of the mission district holds some of the most captivating murals in San Francisco. An alley famous for murals that come and go, and ones that have yet to be painted over. Here, you'll see artists, locals and tourists gather for image taking, painting and quick access to Mission Street from Valencia Street. The colors are vivid and the details of these murals are unique in their nature, often telling a story of greater than the murals themselves. To learn more about how the Clarion Alley Mural Project came to be, click here. It was a really neat experience visiting Clarion Alley on this especially beautiful day because two artists where in the process of working on their mural right in front of my eyes. Although I've been here quiet a few times prior, every visit her can lead to whole new experience. So, tell me, what do you think of this type of project? Have you ever seen live art? How do you think project such as these help shape the community culture of a specific area? To keep up on life in San Francisco and beyond, come chat with me on twitter! Related Posts

This is gorgeous, and is so different from anything I would find in my own city - Houston, TX. I absolutely LOVE that you got to see the artists at work! Thanks for sharing :)
