Another afternoon among the rolling, coastal highway one. A sharp right turn off the highway, down a dirt road past adorable homes decorated with succulent gardens and vintage VW bugs, there it was. Upon reaching the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, I instantly got a flashback of an elementary school field trip to the tide pools I went on. Since that field trip, I have discovered the enjoyment you can have exploring the ocean floor at low tide. This secret gem in Moss Beach allowed me to get some great shots while peaking beneath the wavey waters and smilin' the afternoon away. It was mighty hard not to take home a special ocean treasure to remember the day, but of course it is a reserve so no collecting is allowed. Take a peak below for a preview into this hidden gem and after, head to Moss Beach Distillery for a stellar meal over looking the Pacific Ocean on their back patio.
