Have you ever wondered how to style and decorate your cocktails in a modern, pretty way? Perhaps you're throwing a festive soiree and would love to make swoon worthy cocktails but aren't sure where to begin. When it comes to drinking pretty, I have all the elements you'll need to create the most beautiful cocktails and decorated glassware. Plus I'll even show you how I added the beautiful text overlay like the imagery above (because making blog posts pop is just has fun as making cocktails pop!) Won't you pour yourself some bubbly and stay awhile?
One of my favorite ways to fancy up glassware is by adding a touch of natural elements to the stem or base of a glass. Not only does this look unique and stunning, party guests will easily be able to determine which drink is theirs if they happen to place it down. Gone are the days of wine markers and silly tags, this is the ultimate way to stun your guests with natural elements. Try using garland and greenery during the holiday months, and adjust the designs for spring and summer by adding florals. |
Why use plain, normal ice cubes when you can add some beauty to your cocktails by using edible flowers to create another beautiful element to your cocktail! I used my extra large square ice cube tray this time around, but normal sized ice cubes work just as well! To create, fill your tray half way with water and place 1 or 2 edible flower petals in each section. Let the water freeze for a few hours, then fill the rest of the tray with water and let them freeze completely. This allows the petals to be in the center of the ice instead of just on top. Feeling creative? Add a small drop of food coloring to the ice to get a little extra color!
Lastly, incorporate paper straws and interesting stir sticks to pull together all the elements. For more colorful cocktails with a sugar base, try using rock sugar sticks as stirrers for your guests. There is a great deal of opportunity when it comes to getting creative with stir sticks that are all over Pinterest that you can easily DIY as well. Also, paper straws. Though they are nothing new in the entertaining world, never underestimate the sweet touch they add to cocktails! |
Cocktails aren't the only thing that you can make beautiful! Did you enjoy how I was able to add text to images in this blog post? Well I was able to do it with the new Adobe Post app and just had to share the secret to successful text overlays. Adobe just released this amazingly easy tool to help place text over your images in the most beautiful and carefully designed way right at your finger tips. This stunning new app lets you get creative with great typography designs, opacity control, a variety of color palettes and even stunning fonts to choose from all from your phone! One of my favorite aspects of Adobe Post is that it saves all your designs in the platform on your phone!
