Warm days, windy nights and a golden glow cast over the sky as the sun passes the torch to the moon earlier in the evening. Yes, autumn is here and for many, this means retreating inside the home a little more than usual. The change of seasons for me is always a time to switch around the decor and overall vibe of my home. From cozy candles, to interesting shapes and colors of autumn harvest and pumpkins and cinnamon galore, now is your chance to give your home a new feeling. I love bringing in natural elements into my home to feel as if I am surrounded by nature's beauty even if it is a little to chilly to head outside. It gives me a feeling of peace and connection to the earth knowing that many pieces of my autumn decor was found in my own front yard, Golden Gate Park. Pairing a large piece of redwood with crinkled leaves, feathers and bright marigolds looks great in any corner or on the shelves of a bookcase. Adding flowers of a darker hue in a bathroom creates an atmosphere sure to keep you calm and collected on (sometimes) hectic mornings getting prepared for the day. I am loving the sweet scents of my maple hazelnut, lavender chamomile and warm tobacco pipe decorware candles. The combination of these high quality candles mixed with a cool draft from an open window leaves my home feeling comfortable and fresh. Now that we have all (hopefully) accepted summer's passing, here's you chance to switch up your home and prepare to celebrate the changing of seasons and pumpkin everything. Such dreamy photos! I'm so glad our heat wave seems to have broken for the time -- reading and looking through this post makes me so eager for candles, warming drinks and all things cozy. I'd love to get some more of nature indoors too -- that's on my list now for whenever I next have an opportunity for a weekend DIY! Great inspiration here =)

Thank you Jessica! I was actually playing around with different items in front of the camera to create that effect. I could not agree more with you about the heat break, loving this foggy night. Xx
