Bright golden hues, fresh scents and clean design are three of my favorite things. With the arrival of spring means the opportunity of a fresh start in any or all areas of life. When I first teamed up with nyl skincare, I was quick to discover the brand has elements that are perfect to freshen up any skincare routine. The products are especially good for spring! With ingredients such as watermelon seed oil, scents of citrus, gentle sugar polish and earthy aromas, nyl skincare has everything your looking for to brighten up a skincare routine!
All of the 100% vegan products are made on a weekly basis and even come with a hand written expiration date. I love this feature because it proves that these products are in fact fresh and chemical/preservative free! In addition, nyl skincare is a certified cruelty free company that uses only eco-friendly packaging. Yippee!
The velvet transformative serum has been my go to serum for the past month. After reading the ingredient list I was nervous to apply it to my skin because of the oil content, but the luxury formula and combination of "dry" oils have helped my skin glow. I also have been using it under my eyes in the evening as well which is a nice alternative to a traditional thick under eye cream. The earthy scent of the serum is definitely an added bonus! Another important feature of nyl I appreciate is that everything is scented using essential oils in place of synthetic heavy fragrances. | Nyl also offers two facial cleansers that are definitely not like any I've used in the past. The gentle formulas work great with my clarisonic, not to mention the lovely feminine scents of the cleansers. The rosewater cleaner is geared towards a complexion prone to dryness and the chamomile cleanser is formulated for complexion which tends to be more oily. These cleansers are more than likely a different consistency than you may be used to. They are absent of the additive that many cleansers have in them to create a gel consistency, which I think is a really nice switch up! |
Some other products I've been swooning over lately are the gentle sugar polish and body balm. Unlike most scrubs I've used, this one is not drenched in oil so it doesn't leave your shower unnecessarily slippery. I enjoy the eye make up remover too, but for a girl that wears waterproof eyeliner, I found it's a little too gentle to remove heavier makeup. I do however enjoy using it when I just do a swipe of mascara and a little eye shadow. The organic hand soap smells as if you just cut up a juicy lemon, although it is a bit pricey, it's definitely a nice thing to have by the kitchen sink! The creator of nyl skincare, Carol, has a background in design which explains why each and every bottle and jar looks simple and beautiful. I completely love the golden hues of these products and I'll be ordering the sugar body polish, rosewater face wash and body balm when I run out!
