A photo walk with Chronicle Books, VSCO and the amazingly talented Victoria of SFgirlbybay on a sunny Saturday on the streets on San Francisco to celebrate the release of her photo travel book? Sign me up! After Victoria announced that she had chosen my photograph as one of five in a contest to join her on the walk, I was beyond thrilled! I have been following her rose colored instagram account and design blog ever since I moved to the city almost four years ago. Her blog and love for San Francisco has been an inspiration in many aspects of my life including a constant desire to explore my city, the impact and beauty of clean design and her colorful pictures that tell a tale of the city through the lens of a San Francisco local with her book, See San Francisco. Gathering with other photographers, bloggers, artists and creatives, we met up at Makeshift Society for macrons, coffee and croissants to begin the morning. We eventually ventured to Hayes Valley to stop at Miette Confisier for San Francisco's version of LA's pink wall. Moving on through Hayes Valley, we ventured to The Painted Ladies, roamed the streets of the historical Alamo Square district and eventually ended on Divisadero Street at Rare Device. Here, we all got our hands on a personally signed copy of See San Francisco by Victoria herself. It was a perfect way to start the weekend and I'm so glad I had the chance to meet the SFgirlbybay herself before she departs to start a new adventure in Los Angeles. Her perspective will be missed in the city, but we are left with her perfectly designed love letter to San Francisco. Be sure to get your copy today here!
