The Old Mission Santa Barbara is set on the most pristine grassy space surrounded by rose gardens, beautiful homes and desert succulent plants. The historic building was built in 1789 by Padre Fermin Lasuen in attempt to convert the Indigenous Chumash tribe of this area. The church in the Mission is spectacular, painted with vibrant colors and vigil candles throughout, while in the back you can discover the Mission's cemetery.
