Saturday mornin' wakin’ up sleepy and tired—but I knew I wanted to get out of the city for some fresh air. After the struggle to get out of a bed full of pillows and quite the layer of blankets, I managed to wake myself up. And with that San Francisco summer fog on the other side of my wall of windows, it was not a simple task. But I sure am glad I did. After truckin' across the trafficy Golden Gate Bridge and through the tunnel towards Marin, the adventure through this beautiful county on highway one began. Although this was not my first trip on the windy, picturesque coast line, it was certainly one of the most beautiful. The air was warm and the sky was clear. Marin County is a place to go on vacation for a day to feel transformed and refreshed from the hustle bustle of the city life. Despite the winds and sometimes late afternoon fog, once in a while you get that perfect day. A day that ends in dinner on top of Mt. Tamalpais on a wooden deck among the trees. Perhaps it's the simplicity of these towns, perhaps its the unknown of what you can find just around the bend. Whatever it is, I know I will be coming back for more.
