Hello again! I am officially back in San Francisco after quite the week of cruising down the coast all the way down to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with a few stops in between (more on those travels, coming soon!) Before my departure, my good friend Devon and I attended such a cool and dynamic event hosted by Taste of the Nation, a nationwide charity that raises awareness and helps end child hunger in America by organizing culinary benefits all over the country. When the organization rolled through the historic and charming Claremont Hotel a few weeks back, I knew I wanted to snag a pair of tickets and venture to the other side of the bridge into the beautiful town of Berkeley. The trees were as colorful as ever and as the sun began to set over the Oakland hills, I remembered how stunning the area I grew up in still is. When we entered through the doors and into the hotel we were greeted with a wine glass and quickly discovered rows and rows of festive drinks and delicious food from local vendors and restaurants. I absolutely love trying new foods which is why I was so eager to attend Taste of The East Bay! Devon and I got a rare chance to chat with mixologists, sponsors, chefs, vintners and owners all while nibbling the evening away, sipping on freshly brewed espresso, and of course swooning over the wide variety of sweets. Although you may have missed this one, Taste of San Francisco is coming back to the Bay Area on March 26th, 2015! Don't miss a night of fun, great food, even better drinks and a silent auction all for a great cause. Here's a small recap of an autumn night at The Claremont Hotel contributing to end child hunger in America while dining on culinary masterpieces.
