A little Sunday drive to have some October fun in the pumpkin capital? Sounded like a great idea, and it was! After a slower than usual drive on highway one, we made it to the annual Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival to enjoy our first pumpkin pie of the season and some harvest ales. The day was filled with live music and lots of fall cheer. After the festival, we stopped off the highway to find the perfect pumpkins for various uses. Carving, painting, and makin' some fresh pie. the fog was rollin' in quick, so after the selections were made we brought our small town treasures back home to our wild city. Discover a great place to catch the sunset while enjoying a refreshing beverage in Half Moon Bay, home of the mavericks surf competition. You wouldn't catch me in that chilly water, but you could catch me sippin' on the brewery's 'Maverick Hefeweizen' accompanied by the warmth of an outside fire pit and my man sittin' close! Stop at The Ritz-Carlton for a cocktail on their ocean terrace and visit Main Street for shops, wine stores, and bakeries.
